On 15th February, 2024, the Green Collider project approached its conclusion with a transfer seminar organized by Europa Consortium Non-profit Ltd. in Nagykanizsa, Hungary. The event served as a platform for VET institutions, SMEs, and students to explore key project findings, including VET-SME collaboration tools, green competences, and a policy paper on sustainability. While concluding local collaborations, the seminar sparked discussions and laid the groundwork for future partnerships aimed at advancing sustainability initiatives in the local and regional VET-SME ecosystem.
Students from three VET schools in Nagykanizsa recently participated in the Green Collider competition, sponsored by local companies Hidrofilt Ltd and Gerián-Tech Ltd. The competition challenged students to tackle sustainability issues through innovative solutions. In two distinct challenges, students explored rainwater harvesting and utilization in schools and implemented circular economy practices at home. After weeks of preparation, student teams presented their ideas to a professional jury, with the winning team showcasing their commitment to sustainability and creativity.
The Green Collider project consortium recently convened in Reus, Spain, for its fourth meeting, delving into discussions aimed at advancing sustainability initiatives. Hosted by DomSpain, the meeting served as a platform for partners to review progress, share insights, and strategize on key project components. Topics of focus included the development of the VET-SME collaboration tool, authentic task challenges, and the creation of a self-assessment tool.
Europa Consortium recently organized a training session for vocational education and training (VET) teachers in Nagykanizsa, Hungary. The Masterclass, held on October 27th, 2023, focused on empowering educators with essential knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability principles into their teaching practices. With a comprehensive curriculum covering key sustainability topics, the training aimed to equip teachers with the skills needed to foster environmentally conscious and socially responsible behaviors among their students.
In a pivotal meeting held in Graz, Austria, consortium members of the Green Collider project converged to discuss progress, challenges, and future endeavors. With a focus on advancing sustainability in vocational education and training (VET), the meeting provided a platform for fruitful deliberations on project management, dissemination strategies, and quality assurance measures. However, the spotlight was on the strides made in Project Result 2 (PR2) and the concerted efforts to complete remaining training activities from Project Result 1 (PR1).
We recently convened in the picturesque town of Cori, Italy, for a pivotal project meeting of the Green Collider initiative. Our focus primarily revolved around the exciting developments of the VET-Business Green Cooperation Collider, where partners shared their concepts and engaged in extensive discussions on the self-assessment tool.
